great job

like the last reviewer, I have to say that the robots were a tad lacking... But I loved this. It was weird... the music and the sequence of events just seemed odd... for this I was going to 4 it, but then I read at the end that you also made the music... and for this wholistic and cool effort, my 5 are yourin. Great job!

kind of lame...

if you're going to be an iconoclast (which I fully encourage) you should have something decent to say...

although I was pretty pleased to see the first shot of the devil gettin nasty with... was it billy graham? after that though, it was just more of the same.

LordXanthus responds:

I suppose it is kind of lame and repetitive, but I'd only been using Flash for 15 days when I finished it, and I thought it was a bit funny. Better than some of the crap you find in the portal, anyway. Also: That wasn't Billy Graham, it was Jerry Falwell.

I liked it

I thought it was short but sweet... I sense perhaps a bit of ren and stimpy influence in this... but then again, the ren and stimpy style was well distributed throughout the whole of nickelodeon, so who knows... either way, it wasn't bad. Not so sure about the voice acting for the boss though.

it's "stand OUT from the crowd" not "stand UP"

I'm sorry... it was a mediocre flash at best... the song carried it 90%... Good song though :)

Lord-Sonx responds:

whoopsie!

me too, why?

graphics - you did a nice job hunting down the mentioned items, but you did nothing but import them and motion tween...

style - erm... shoulda done... something...

sound - neat song, but nowhere near Weird Al's full potential (nor even near his mediocre) considering the vast array of strange things on e-bay (I saw someone selling a used air guitar, and also I found a dried peach shaped like a vagina)

violence/interactivity - non applicable

humor - most of the humor (and there's not really much, sorry) comes from the song... it was kind of neat to see that you actually found some of the stuff he mentioned, but most of the stuff he mentioned would be pretty easy to find I think.

overall - I didn't blam, but honestly, it was very good. You just didn't do enough with it.

woot!!! useless crap!!!

I loved it!!! Your animation and drawings are very clean, precise and professional. The voice acting was great too. I've found my new superhero ^^ (Capt. Capitalism, not you, sorry... always follow the cash)

very pleasant :)

where are 1 and 2?

I like the hallucinogenic feel of the whole thing, but I think it would be more immersive if I could see 1 and 2 as well... and I didn't particularly care for the "abrupt ending"... there was no feeling of it ending and by saying "abrupt..." you showed us that you knew you were cutting it short and submitting an unfinished work. But still excellent flashification.

sorry, gotta blam

this was a good flash and big kudos for actually being respectful but it's not true and therefore shouldn't be propagated

ur cake flash owns all

:)

This was very nice... this is the first fbf flash I've seen that actually had a sense of theme, direction and planning. Very nicely done :)... however... after seeing the cake flash, the others just seemed... lacking...

Pythian-Habenero responds:

Thank you!

And the cake flash is the latest one. That's probably why. The other ones were all made at least a month or so ago, I think.

nice :)

1- moving away from stick figures is ALWAYS a good decision...

2- you should make it a little longer... and perhaps try to sort the timing of the joke a little better... this joke was very cool, very funny... but maybe a bit longer watching the peasant standing there... a bit more animation on the sword swing

3- don't fade groups with multiple instances in them... you can see through one instance into the other and it destroys the effect... If it must be done either use tinting effects or make a "fader symbol" that is all one color (black or white usually) that sits on the topmost layer and fades out... giving the effect that your animation is fading in.

This was pretty funny... :) The politeness of course, when discussing who will kill the peasant... but the guesswork is funny. At first I suspected that they were lined up to kill a dragon, and when I saw the peasant I thought he was the next in line.

great job :)
