this was good

I liked this, but it didn't have the same "punch" that the last one had. I think, though we want longer, maybe shorter is better. It seems that in your first flash you didn't even have time to breathe, it was just too fast coming at you and you wouldn't stop laughing through most of it (even after several views) this one however gave me lots of time to regain composure and assess the situation on screen... got a few mild chuckles out of it.

It is indeed very good work (above my standard) and on NG definately worth a front page... it pales next to Badguys though. i'm very much looking forward to the next one (great voice acting by the way)

this series is cool :)

I watched the first one first (a logical step) and found that the first one (not so hot) was made far better by watching the next.

Since their so short, could I make a suggestion for part 3? (I liked this, I hope you make a part 3)

I think it would be good for both part 3 and for the series in general if you put all 3 in one flash (maybe with a scene selector at the start)...

a minor suggestion and a big one

the big one: add sound please... it may not be possible but even with a light musical background it makes the flash so much more appealling (not lyrical though)

the minor one: normally I hate people using dancing penises in flashes, but if you had only had him throw out about 6 or 7 censor blurs, then add a button to remove the blur, the expectation would be that all blurs would disappear and you'd see his willy, but if behind all 7 or 8 blurs was a wiggly wiggly, and you see the psychos surprise... just would have made for an extra giggle.

very good job

I liked this a lot. Very moving and thought provoking flash. Little bit misleading about the fear though, I felt the flash was more about judging people based on appearances. I think if you "padded out" your mother's story a bit (ie. add more details to the story itself) you could make a modern parable out of this.

I liked it a lot. I also loved the sounds (except for the sound effect after he fell from the fence, that one was a bit cheesy).

There's nothing I can think of to comment on critically... perhaps if I'm really trying to pick at it I could say that the sound of the crazy guy (forget his name) when he was beating the people honking behind them was a bit loud and crashed a little... might take out the reverb too. But this in no way detracted from the flash.

the only downside I have to say is the sound quality, which you're already aware of... perhaps you could have tried playing with the equalizer before importing it to get the voices out louder and clearer than the guitar (that's where most of the vocals were lost)

So, the downside being a moot point, let's move on to the good:

I love that the energy of the flash matches punk energy. It's a very fast and crazy animation. I especially love when bush runs up to the emergency meeting and starts giving a "rally speech" even as he's first hitting the podium... And although I could have like dropping the swastika behind him, there really wasn't enough of a context behind it (there might have been if the sound had been clearer, not sure) so I think it wasn't a good choice for that scene... because of context not because of anything offensive or whatever.

I liked this... and it's not often I see real punk music used in flashes so that was refreshing too :)

I liked this all the way around except for 2 things.

1- it was too short (I was left thirsty for more... but not the "converted-fan" thirsty, rather the "unsatisfied" thirsty.
2- although I wouldn't say the "graphics were at war with the sound" I did find that having the monkey sync to the beat (a great intro to the song) went bad when the monkey stopped but the beat continued... and also when the other sounds were neglected...

people under 16 would probably do best to stay clear of politics I think... or at least to study what's going on before trying to make a solo comment.

At least you picked the right side though.

good but

for a newgrounds flash this gets all digits up, 5 and 10's across the board (except violence, interactivity and humor) but this is high enough skill that it jumps the bar into the next level. I didn't judge or rate this as a NG flash, but as a cartoon.

Graphics- the graphic style was pretty nice... but a little too anime inspired... this is opinion however, so you get a 7 for very nice drawings.

Style- the animation style was decent... nothing more to say really. 7

Sound- the sound effects were nothing sort of cheesy, as was the main characters voice... too much like anime (again) aimed at children... 3

violence/interactivity- n/a

Humor- the last joke was... well... it was successful enough that I could see it was supposed to be a joke... but that's it... the king jumping into a volcano was a nifty idea though. You get a 3 for effort

Overall- as I said already, if I was rating this as a normal NG flash it would have gotten great scores, but nobody needs a pat on the back, we need criticism and honest feedback. You're above the bar and because of that there's another much higher bar still above you. You get a 5 in the overall score and I voted a 3 for the portal.

Please don't take my low scores as me saying it's bad... it's very good and hence the harder review. I look forward to the next one.
